Welcome to Obsidian Bookshelf where I review homoerotic fiction. Hello, book fans. We're moving into fall and not a moment too soon. I'm always glad to leave the heat of summer behind. I hope you all enjoyed any summer travel along with your usual reading and/or writing. Now it's time to get back to work.
I've actually finished writing my first fantasy novel. Good Golly, what an experience! I've written an article about the process over at my Valkovalin site for any who are interested. Now it's on to rewrites and revision.
I'd greatly like to speed up the number of books I'm reviewing here now that I've finished the rough draft of my novel and have some extra time again. I know that I've had a half-conscious reluctance to buy too many books because I just don't want the paperbacks to stack up in my house. As you all know, we can't exactly get these m/m books in the library, and I'd like to keep most on hand as I continue to review various authors because it's always interesting to consider their body of work.
The obvious solution, of course, is to get an ebook reader and switch to ebooks. I'm greatly looking forward to doing this, but I'm holding off due to a rumor that Amazon is going to release the 2.0 version of the Kindle in October. Then I can make a more informed decision between the Kindle and something like the Sony ebook reader. Then the floodgates of fiction buying will be thrown open!
This week I have a review for you of a new novel by Anne Brooke, Maloney's Law. This centers on a private investigator in London named Paul Maloney who takes a case from a client Dominic Allen, who is also an ex-lover with whom Paul is obsessed.
Until next week, happy reading!
